Happy Friday, lovely people of the internet! I hope you’re getting excited for the weekend! 🙂 If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll remember that I posted this plaid outfit and mentioned how it’s the only plaid I have in my closet. Well, I decided to do a blog post explaining why!
I’m sure we can all relate, but my style has changed so much over the years. Although those changes might not have been apparent, they were to me! Any who, I’ve never been a big fan of plaid, although I used to have a little more of it in my closet.
Everyone has that one pattern that they really just don’t like, and for me that’s plaid. I don’t know why, it’s just not really my aesthetic. So I’m sure you’re wondering why in the world I even bought this tunic if I hate it. I don’t hate this particular one! LOL! I actually like this one because it’s definitely a simpler plaid.
Truthfully, the reason why I bought this tunic was because I loved the style and fit, so I pushed my dislike of plaid aside and decided to get it. I’ve styled it a couple different ways on the blog before, but I decided to share it again because why not!
Styling-wise, I personally wouldn’t wear plaid in the summer. To me, plaid correlates to warmth and I don’t want to encourage fall to come any sooner then it already is! But hey, that’s just my personal opinion! If you love wearing plaid in the summer, you’ve got to rock it and be confident!
Any who, I decided to pair this tunic with my light wash Levi’s because I felt that pairing it with black jeans was a little too fall-ish for this week’s 80 degree weather. I will say that I absolutely love how seamlessly my floral print clutch pairs with the plaid!
This plaid may be in its last season within my closet, but it has had a good run! Plus, I’m sure someone else would love it more! Needless to say, I don’t know when you’ll see plaid on the blog again! Just kidding — but seriously, if I miraculously find another plaid piece of clothing this fall, you guys will be the first to hear about it!
Check out the options below to see some more plaid pieces that I like for fall!
Urban Outfitters, H&M, Forever 21, Nordstrom, Anthropologie

Well, that’s all I’ve got for ya today! I hope your weekend is full of fun, great company and yummy food! See you all again on Monday!
Until next time!
