You know what time it is—Top Picks time! I can’t believe it’s already May. I had planned to share more posts last month, but alas, that’s life sometimes.
Without further ado, let’s get started on this month’s Top Picks!
HobaCare Organic Jojoba

Of course, you could buy any organic jojoba you find on the market, but might I suggest this one? I used to work with this company at an old job, so when I say it’s good, I mean it! I originally bought this jojoba for my facial cupping and gua sha routine that I shared a few months ago, but I more recently started using it as the final step in my nighttime skincare routine. Talk about a game changer! I was suffering from the last remnants of my dry winter skin, and this really kicked it to the curb.
For anyone who’s on the fence about jojoba, let me give you the scoop: although it’s often called jojoba oil, it’s actually not an oil—it’s a liquid wax ester. What does that have to do with anything? Well, these liquid wax esters are the closest thing in the plant world to the sebum our skin produces naturally. That’s why jojoba is non-comedogenic, so it won’t clog your pores and is safe to use on acne-prone skin (aka me!).
What’s great about this jojoba from The Original Jojoba Company is they harvest it from a single source, and the company is vertically integrated, so there’s no middleman—just high-quality, first-press jojoba for your skin to enjoy!
Marin Lip Treatment

I can’t take credit for finding this brand—it was actually my mom who discovered it back in 2022. Needless to say, my entire family has been obsessed with it ever since. Not only are the lip treatments unmatched, but their barrier cream is also incredible for sensitive skin (though that’s a story for another day). But let’s get back to chatting about this lip treatment.
I’m obsessed with my lips being hydrated. Some may even call it an addiction. I’ve tried just about every lip treatment, gloss, and balm there is, and I can say with absolute certainty that this stuff is the best. It’s super hydrating, doesn’t feel sticky on the lips, and takes any lip combo to the next level!
It’s formulated with marine glycoproteins, which are a byproduct of lobster processing. This glycoprotein actually helps lobsters regrow their limbs, hence why it’s so great for repairing the skin barrier! I have a tube of Marin in my car, my purse, and my gym bag. I truly can’t imagine life without it!
Blueberry French Toast has to be my favorite flavor, too!
J Fields Jewelry

You probably know how obsessed I am with rings, so this one should come as no surprise! I stumbled upon this jewelry brand on Instagram, and I had been screenshotting pieces I liked for months. Finally, I treated myself to this beautifully simple ruby ring. I was looking for one more ring to complete my stack, and this one did that and then some.
All of her pieces are made to order, which makes the experience that much better. You can tell how much love went into each piece, and I absolutely love that every single one is different. She also carries such a great collection of necklaces that I’ve had my eye on, too. The next time I need to treat myself, I know where I’ll be going!
Dae Hairbrush

I’m very passionate about hair health and how my hair looks! Before finding this hairbrush, I had been using the Wet Brush, which served me well. I had no problem with it, but there’s just something about the way the Dae hairbrush makes my hair feel—I’ve never looked back.
This brush can be used on wet or dry hair, which I absolutely love. The vegan, boar-like bristles gently massage your scalp while taming all the flyaways and frizz.
One thing to note: you shouldn’t use this brush with a blow dryer. I did a couple of times and noticed a difference in the way the bristles looked. So, just get yourself a separate round brush and save this one for brushing without heat!
Baggu Go-Pouches

Nothing brings me joy quite like a purse that’s organized. I can’t tell you how annoying it was when I didn’t use pouches in my bags. All I wanted was a lip balm or a hair tie, and I’d end up dumping my whole bag out just to find one. The worst!
My friend bought me the Hello Kitty collaboration Go-Pouches for my birthday, and I couldn’t be more in love with them. They are so durable and have held up to the wear and tear of daily use.
I use the smallest one to hold my lip balms, hair ties, and keys, and then I tend to switch around how I use the medium and large sizes. Sometimes I’ll use them to hold makeup or skincare while traveling, and when I went to Italy, I used the large one to hold my camera, journal, and tarot cards—priorities, you know!
If you want a very Alicia-coded set of Go-Pouches, you must check out the recent Miffy collaboration!
Until next time!
