Vintage Shopping Guide to Asheville

What better way to spend a spring day in Asheville than by exploring our amazing selection of vintage shops and curated collections? I wasn’t much of a vintage shopper before moving here, but I’ve since been converted! There are so many great brick-and-mortar vintage shops, as well as pop-ups, that simply can’t be missed.

Let’s get started with my round-up of favorites!

Honeypot Vintage

This was one of the first vintage stores I visited during my very first birthday spent in Asheville. My birthday was just five days after I officially moved here, and I didn’t know anyone. But, I felt like the best way to celebrate was by exploring my new home and doing some shopping. I popped into Honeypot Vintage and was immediately in awe of their selection. I have a thing for vintage Hard Rock T-shirts, and I found the most perfect purple Hard Rock Beijing sweatshirt, which has been on heavy rotation ever since.

Pro tip: Because this location is downtown, you may need to walk a bit to find parking. Street parking is free after 6 p.m. Monday–Saturday and free all day on Sundays!

Asheville Vintage Market

If I’m already downtown, I definitely try to pop by this monthly market! I’ve found some of my favorite vintage tees here, and it’s definitely one of the places where you can negotiate a little on prices.

My best advice: Go early, especially if it’s a summer market. There’s no cloud cover when it’s hosted at Asheville Sports Club or Rabbit Rabbit (sorry, Asheville Yards), and you will roast under the sun!

Another tip: Grab an iced coffee at Farewell before heading over—you’ll thank yourself later.

GennyPop Vintage

One of my all-time favorite vintage vendors in Asheville is GennyPop! Her collections are so perfectly curated with tons of fun colors, patterns, and styles. She often hosts pop-ups around town, most recently at Garden Party’s new location on Haywood. I found the most perfect crochet dress and a sewn-heart blouse at her last event. You can often find her collections alongside other local favorites like Lucca Collective and Sure Please.

Bonus stop: While you’re at Garden Party, be sure to check out their shop too. They carry cool brands like Chunks and Le Bon Shoppe.

rEvolve

Another iconic spot you don’t want to miss is rEvolve, located in West Asheville! I still think about an oversized denim shacket I spotted at one of their pop-ups they did at Citizen Vinyl a couple of years ago. I should have bought it, but alas!

Regardless, rEvolve is an awesome place to kick off your vintage shopping experience on the west side of town. Plus, it’s right next door to Bad Manners, one of my favorite coffee shops!

If you’re looking for something fun to do this spring, be sure to follow all these brands and shops on Instagram to stay up to date with pop-ups and special events.

Happy vintage hunting!
