The Perfect Sweater for Fall

Hi, friends! Welcome back to Stylishly Good Vibes! I hope that your October was awesome and that you’re ready for all that’s to come in November!

I’m back on the blog today to share with you my absolute favorite sweater for fall. It’s a one-of-a-kind piece that deserves the spotlight of a dedicated blog post! I also thought it would be fun to share with you some of my favorite small businesses since we’re gearing up for the good ol’ holiday season!

Let’s get started!

Like many of you, I found myself buying a LOT of random things during 2020. I don’t even know why I was buying stuff when in reality, I wasn’t going anywhere fun or eventful! But that’s besides the point!

One thing I found myself buying more of was clothes, which probably isn’t THAT big of a surprise. But what I was buying was high-quality statement pieces that I intended to have in my closet for the rest of forever. Flash forward to last summer when a friend of mine shared a sweater that she crocheted herself. I was FLOORED by how amazing it was that I immediately asked if she was selling them. She said yes, so I picked my yarn colors and patiently waited for it to be done!

The Crocheted Sweater of My Dreams

The sweater I’m wearing in today’s post is that very sweater! I love that it was made to order, just for me. Call me old fashioned, but I love the craftsmanship that goes into making your own clothes. Plus—supporting friends or complete strangers who are able to turn their talent and love for creating into a side hustle should always be supported and celebrated!

For those interested in getting a custom sweater of your own, you can reach out to my friend Ashley here!

My Favorite Small Businesses

Switching gears here, I wanted to make sure I showcased a couple other small businesses that I’ve been supporting this year. With the holidays quickly approaching, I think it’s so important to look at the places you are shopping for loved ones and consider buying local or from a small business.

Angies Fancies

When the year took a shift for the worst in 2020, I remember trying to make my own face masks. Let me tell you—it is so much harder than you think it is. I have experience using a sewing machine and I found it to be difficult to get the sizing right. So, I decided my best plan was to find a small business that would make the masks for me.

It’s funny how things end up working out, because Angies Fancies actually found me through Instagram! Since then, I’ve purchased five masks from her! I love how Instagram has the power to bring people together! For me, I think it’s important to have a selection of masks to choose from based on my outfit (I know lol), so if you’re in the market for some new face masks, definitely check out Angies Fancies!

Merewif

I found out about this company when I was living in South Carolina and working at Anthropologie! Merewif is based in Wilmington, North Carolina and all the pieces are made by hand in studio. Her pieces are either gold plated or gold filled and the quality is amazing. I wear my rings from Merewif every single day and they look just as good as the day I took them out of the package.

Three of the rings I’m currently wearing are from Merewif, but I also love their selection of necklaces, bracelets, and clean nail polishes!

This is another jewelry brand that I stumbled upon because of Instagram! Most of her pieces are made from wood and are hand-painted with different designs. I have a pair of pink daisy hoops that I absolutely love. Her earrings are perfect for the bold type in your life!

All Things for You

This is a Cleveland antiquing staple for me. If you live in Cleveland and haven’t gone here to antique, you have to add it to your list! I have three antique stores that I can always rely on for a great selection and this is one of them. They have antiques from just about every decade. Whether you’re looking for decor, furniture, or clothing, they’re the “it” spot in town. You heard it here first!

Well, that’s all I have for you today! I hope that you enjoy the upcoming weeks and don’t forget to shop small!

Until next time!
