Pink Monochromatic Outfit

Gimme More Monochrome

Well, well, well—hello again, friends! Not sure how a month went by since the last time I posted on here, but alas, I’m back! Life has been . . . busy. I guess that would be the best way to put it! I’m currently juggling two full-time job responsibilities (my former position + promoted position) at work, so I’m learning how to manage my time and have some semblance of a work/life balance.

I need to dedicate more time to this blog, my Etsy shop, and all my never-ending crafting. So, I’m back, and I’m very, very happy to be here!

Let’s get started with today’s blog post!

I love a monochrome look, but sometimes when I see them on Pinterest or Instagram, they’re so boring! You guys know me well—I LOVE patterns and textures of all kinds. So when I went to style today’s monochromatic look, I knew I wanted to make it fun!

The Pants of My Dreams

To start, these Farm Rio floral pants are a damn dream. The second I saw them in person, I knew they needed to be on my body! They’re pink, which you know is my favorite color, and a floral print, so basically a double whammy in the style department for me! In terms of fit, they’re very high waisted—above the belly button high waisted. But the fabric is so soft against the skin so there is no discomfort whatsoever.

The DIY Tank Top

I chose to pair these pants with the pink peplum tank top that I made a couple months ago. Although the length of this tank covered the fun belt attached to these pants, I was okay with it. Plus—sometimes tucking tops into super high-waisted pants can be a pain in the a**!

Now that you’ve seen the outfit, it’s time for a good ol’ list of tips!

Monochromatic Styling Tips

Experiment with different patterns + textures instead of doing a plain monochromatic outfit.

If you’re worried about your outfit being too matchy-matchy, opt for a lighter + darker shade of whatever color you are styling. This will break up the look a bit especially if this is your first time doing a monochromatic outfit.

Be colorful! This is more of an opinion than a tip, but whatever! I’m so tired of seeing neutral monochromatic looks because they remind me of the book “1984.” Throw some color into your outfits! You won’t regret it! I promise!

Well. that’s all I’ve got for you today! I’ll be back again next week with another new post for you.

Until next time!
