Canvas Tote Bag

5 Must-Have Accessories

Hi, friends! Welcome back to Stylishly Good Vibes!

The new year is in full swing, so I wanted to share my list of must-have accessories that are perfect to add to your wardrobe this year. I’m all for finding pieces that I can style in different ways, and today’s post is filled with versatile items you can make your own!

Let’s get started!

Canvas Tote Bag

This hand-drawn tote is actually from my other side hustle, opal glow designs! I came up with the design on the fly, but I love how it came out. Tote bags—regardless of style or size—are essential for every wardrobe. Whether you use one for groceries or fill it with the essentials when you’re traveling, a tote bag is the accessory that keeps on giving.

Talking specifically of the tote featured in this post, I love the thick, durable straps. My biggest concern when I was sourcing products for this particular project was finding a tote bag that wasn’t basic. I’ve discovered that far too often, canvas tote bags have really thin straps that don’t hold up, but this one certainly does! Also—there is still one available for purchase in my Etsy if you’re interested!

Leather Clutch

Merci Paris Leather Clutch

Here’s the thing: if you’re trying to build a capsule wardrobe that lasts, I think a leather clutch must be on your list. Yeah, you can use a purse, but there will come a time when you want to shake it up and not carry as much as you typically would. Bring in the leather clutch!

I bought this one in Paris at Merci and to say I’m sentimentally attached to it would be an understatement. I love the floral design on the leather and it is the perfect size to fit my on-the-go essentials. Plus—you can use a leather clutch alone or as a wallet when using a tote bag like the one above!

Polarized Sunglasses

My polarized Ray-Bans are my absolute favorite, as you can probably tell from my Instagram feed. I have another pair of Ray-Bans, but the round frame is definitely more representative of my style. When buying sunglasses, I only buy polarized, and I feel like I should explain why, as most people probably don’t even think twice about it during their own shopping adventures.

Polarized lenses are designed to provide clearer vision and reduced reflection and eyestrain. The main purpose of polarization is to prevent glare from hitting you directly in the eye. When glare hits you directly in the eye, it may damage your vision over time. SoOoOo, what I’m trying to say is that unpolarized sunglasses don’t protect from glare. If you’re going to invest in a pair of sunglasses, might I suggest polarized!

Statement Earrings

Headed for the Hill Hoops

My collection of statement earrings is extensive, which isn’t what I’m trying to suggest by including them in this list! One pair of statement earrings can make the world of a difference when styling some of your favorite looks. This lightweight wooden pair is from Headed for the Hill, a brand I discovered on Instagram!

All of Jessica’s earrings are made by hand in California and they ship SO QUICK. Earring weight is a pretty typical concern people have, and one that people make a point to ask me about when I wear some of my favorite pairs. But these hoops are so lightweight—even for the most sensitive ears.

My hands are always adorned with rings—it’s part of who I am. My collection is surprisingly small, but mighty. I have a couple ride or die brands that I buy my rings from. Sundance Catalog, Merewif, and Agatha Paris are some of my favorites.

Stylishly Good Vibes Tip: When traveling, look for rings at local shops! It will be a great way to memorialize your trip!

If you don’t currently wear rings, but want to start wearing them, you have to take quality and care into consideration. I only buy rings I know are made with quality materials that will not tarnish over time.

Buying cheap rings is only going to piss you off in the end because they will tarnish and you’ll essentially be throwing your money in the garbage.

You should be cognizant of when you wear your rings, too! Don’t shower or swim in them, and make sure to remove them when you’re washing or sanitizing your hands.

Well, that’s all I’ve got for you this week! I hope that the days ahead are full of good vibes for you!

Until next time!
