Hi, friends! Welcome back to Stylishly Good Vibes! I took a little time away from the blog—unintentionally, of course! The month of December was just bananas with my full-time job, and finding time to write was difficult. But, I’m back for 2021 with lots of plans for new posts every week of the year!
Let’s get started with today’s post: the perfect pair of knee-high boots!
Knee-High Boots Are a Wardrobe Staple
Believe it or not, I haven’t had a pair of knee-high boots in my closet since high school. Now in my mid-20s, I’ve come to realize how much of a wardrobe staple they are when styling dresses and skirts! I asked for this Sofft® pair for Christmas, so I’m excited to finally be able to share them with you!
Quality vs. Quantity
I’ve talked about it before on the blog, but if you’re new here, I’ll do a recap! Long story short, about three years ago I found out I was wearing shoes a size and a half too small. Oh! And I had no idea (don’t ask). All I can say is that you should go and get your feet measured the next time you buy shoes just to be sure the size in your head is actually the size of your feet!
Anyways, since I started buying shoes in the CORRECT size, I’ve been really picky about the brands that I buy. I only buy quality—whether it’s clothes, shoes, or accessories. I would rather have less by buying higher quality pieces than have more low quality pieces. Do you get me?
The Perfect Pair of Knee-High Boots
This pair of Sofft boots is from Sundance Catalog, which is my go-to for unique accessories. These boots are suede, and if you’ve ever worn suede, you know that you have to be super careful when it’s wet outside. What’s great about this particular pair is that they are made with Aqua Sofft—making them waterproof and sealed from moisture.
Sofft is known for designing shoes with premium materials and comfortable footbeds, which is key for me. I worked in retail for five years, so having comfortable shoes that I can wear for hours on end is imperative—even though I work from home now.
Styling Knee-High Boots
Okay, this might just be me, but I don’t plan on wearing these boots with jeans—unless they’re super skinny jeans. Why, you may ask? Well, I have athletic calves and truthfully I don’t think these boots would even zip if I wore them with jeans!
For today’s look, I chose one of my favorite flowy dresses from Nola True. I don’t typically wear anything that’s form-fitting, so my go-to when styling these will always be a flowy dress like this one.
News flash! You don’t have to be matchy-matchy when styling any type of boot this winter. I don’t like when styles are a perfect match—plus I think it’s more fun to play around with your look without worrying about whether or not it all flows together.
Can I wear these boots in the summer?
The answer to that is yes! I think depending on the occasion, I would totally continue wearing these in the summer. I don’t think that boot season ends when winter does. That’s just a stupid ploy to convince you to buy sandals and I would honestly rather wear boots than sandals any day!
Well, that’s all I’ve got for you today! I hope that you enjoyed this post on what I deem to be the most perfect pair of knee-high boots! Not sure how to style your own pair? Reach out in the comments and I would love to help!
Until next time!
