My Recent Beauty Product Empties

Hi, friends! Wow—it has been a minute since I popped on here. I decided to take a break from social media and blogging—the longest break I’ve taken since I started this platform five years ago.

As my first post back on the blog, I wanted to share my recent beauty product empties. I’ve been using a bunch of different products since the start of the pandemic, and I finally finished a good chunk of them, so let’s get to it!

Peach & Lily

Super Reboot Resurfacing Mask

This mask was all about the acids—AHA and BHA! This lasted me over a year! A little bit went a very long way since it should be applied in a thin layer on the skin.

I only used this mask once a week because it was pretty potent for my sensitive skin—but it left my skin feeling soft, smooth, and soothed. I think this exfoliating mask is one that everyone should have in their beauty routine. Exfoliation is essential to any skincare regimen, so remember that the next time you’re buying a mask!

True Botanicals

Clear Pure Radiance Oil

This was one of those skincare products that I hated to love. It was expensive—I’m aware of that, but it was INCREDIBLE. I don’t say that often with skincare products, but this one was worth every penny for my skin. It was the perfect oil—moisturizing where I needed it and smoothing the surface of my skin as well. I noticed a significant decrease in the amount of breakouts I got while using this oil.

One bottle lasted me about three months. I applied five drops twice a day. I went for the small sample size first before I took the plunge and bought the larger one.

If you have been wondering if this brand is worth all the hype, I’m telling you—it is.

Ouai

Treatment Masque

Over the past year, I’ve been trying to get better about routinely doing different hair treatments to keep my locks soft and shiny. This was only a sample size of this mask, but it lasted me about six months!

I loved the smell and it made my hair feel revived after just a few minutes. Occasionally, I would just put this mask on my ends and call it a day. You can apply before a shower and then rinse it out or apply a smaller amount immediately after a shower. I would definitely recommend this mask if you have thick, coarse hair.

Clinique

City Block Purifying™ Charcoal Clay Mask + Scrub

I think this is one of my favorite everyday face masks of all time.

It was so easy to use and didn’t irritate my skin at all. It was a charcoal clay mask, but it was also an exfoliating scrub. Two in one! I’m here for it.

The instructions said to keep this mask on for 5 minutes, but I left it on until it was dry and crusty (sorry lol). This was my go-to mask to apply after a day of sweating or after a long run. If you have problematic skin like me, use this mask.

Be the Skin

Botanical Pore Serum

This botanical serum was packed with soothing ingredients like Alaskan glacier water and botanical herbs that left my skin matte and moisturized. I only used this serum in the morning because I felt like it provided a nice base for my makeup.

I use a toner by the same brand and the two working together: MAGIC.

I should also mention that this serum helps to control oil production—HELLO, CLEAR SKIN! If you have sensitive skin or redness/irritation, I would recommend trying this serum!

Volufiline15 Eye Essence

Alright, I’m in my mid 20s and I’m starting to notice some tiny lines under my eyes because I make a lot of facial expressions. I really don’t mind the fine lines, but they irritate me when my makeup looks cakey under my eyes when I smile.

This eye essence was an absolute game-changer for me. It worked well as an under-eye primer, locking in moisture and smoothing out fine lines. I noticed a significant difference in how my under-eye area looked when I use this eye essence. Essentially, it was formulated to blur imperfections, and it definitely helps with that!

Alright, friends—that’s all I’ve got for you today! I’ll be back on the blog soon, I promise!

Until next time!

Alicia
