Hi, friends! Welcome back to Stylishly Good Vibes!
In today’s post, I wanted to talk about the importance of shopping local! As someone who works in management for a retail store, I see commercialism firsthand. In the 5 years that I’ve worked at my current store, I’ve learned a lot about other people’s shopping habits — and my own, too!

Since moving back to Cleveland, I’ve stopped shopping at many of the places I used to — in favor of more locally-based stores around the area. I find so much more enjoyment in buying things that positively impact a company in my community. I think a lot of that is based around the idea of knowing where my money is going. With a lot of these big, multi-million dollar corporations that have stores nationwide, it’s hard to know where your money goes, ya know?

I think shopping local is something you should consider doing year round, not just on “Small Business Saturday” — November 30th this year! So, today I wanted to share some of my favorite places to shop local in Cleveland!

Let’s get the list going!
Nola True @nola.true
Located in the heart of Chagrin Falls, this shop is truly a gem. I’ve found so many statement pieces here, like a pink faux fur coat. The selection of clothing is always one-of-a-kind, which you know I love! Plus — I think the prices are really reasonable for the quality of the pieces.
Laura of Pembroke @lauraofpembroke
This is a newer store to me and I’m so glad I started shopping here! Laura of Pembroke is a Canton-based boutique that recently opened at Pinecrest on the east side of Cleveland. The skirt in today’s post is actually from there. In addition to home merchandise, they have tons of great apparel brands, like LINE, Hudson and alice + olivia.
Helm Collective @helmcollective
Where do I even begin! I don’t think I’ve ever been as obsessed with a store as I am with Helm Collective. Honestly, Helm is the reason why I’m so into vintage shopping. I remember the first time I went there — I was in complete awe! It always feels like a treasure hunt for me when I stop in. A solid chunk of the home items in my apartment are from Helm, so it’s definitely worth checking out!
All Things For You @allthingsforu
This store is located right next to Helm Collective, so you might as well pay both a visit on the same day! All Things For You has SO MUCH vintage merchandise — it’s unreal. Every room has a plethora of treasures for you to uncover. I’ve found tons of cool knick-knacks for myself and other people. This is another vintage shop in the Cleveland area that I can’t recommend enough!
Aware Marketplace @awaremarketplaceltd
I stumbled upon Aware while I was still living in South Carolina, and seriously dreamed about the day I would be able to go. I finally stopped by a couple months ago and was absolutely obsessed from the second I walked in. The color palette. The products. The good vibes — all of it! Everything Aware sells in their brick and mortar shop and online is so carefully curated. What do I mean by that? They bring sustainable and ethically-made products to the shoppers of Cleveland. I love that!
Océanne @oceannejewelry
Océanne is a local boutique that I’ve followed on Instagram for quite some time. I first purchased some products while at The Cleveland Flea last year. I bought the coolest necklace, ring and t-shirt. What I love about Océanne is that you can just feel the love and care that go into creating every piece of jewelry. They also sell tons of other fun merchandise in their renovated shop in the Gordon Square Arts District!
Alright, friends, that’s all I’ve got for ya today! If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, consider stopping into these local Cleveland shops for a little retail therapy!
Until next time!
