Hi, friends! I’m back on the blog today to share a little about a trend that I’m so excited to incorporate into my wardrobe this fall! I’ve been really intergalactic(ly) inspired lately — maybe it’s because I sometimes wish I could just go to space for a vacay, ya know? Whatever the reason, I’ve been super into aliens, trippy patterns and anything that’s out of this world. Weird, I know, but sometimes my personal style goes through phases, especially on the cusp of a new season.
I went to the west side of Cleveland the other day, which also happens to be where the only Urban Outfitters in town is located. I don’t know about you, but I cannot buy clothes online from Urban. If you’ve shopped there before, you know that their sizing is hit or miss with every piece you try on — or at least that’s how it is for me.

When I stopped in, I was shopping with the intention of buying a lot of fall stuff, but they unfortunately had none of the items I imagined in my head. Such a bummer. But, since I was already there, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try on a few things that could be cool additions to my fall wardrobe.
I ended up grabbing this intergalactic-print skirt from the sale rack and was pleasantly surprised at how great it fit! It feels and fits like satin, which can sometimes be clingy — and I’m not a fan of that personally. However, the fit was on point and the length was just right on me, too. Win! Plus, it was on sale for $30. Double win!

If you follow my blog or my Instagram, you know that I love having patterns and color in my wardrobe. This skirt, although not something I would think to wear in the fall, might just be something I carry over from season to season!
I’ve got to talk about this tee, too, because I don’t think I’ve loved a graphic tee as much as this one. It’s by the brand MATE the Label. It’s an L.A. based company that uses organic cotton and low impact dyes for all of their clothing. How cool is that?

The brand is more expensive than I tend to spend on basics, but I had to take a chance! I kept waiting and waiting to buy something from them until I just decided to order! This “Far Out” tee was the item I chose to be my first MATE purchase and I couldn’t be happier about it. The quality is incomparable, it fits so comfortably and the print is adorable!
So, yes, $68 is a lot for a tee — I get that. But I know that it’s going to last me YEARS versus maybe a few months that I would get out of a poorly-made tee. In the grand scheme of things, I tend to think about the big picture and how much I would ultimately save by investing in high-quality pieces of clothing. It feels so much better contributing to brands who are doing good in the world of fashion, ya know?!

Anyways, that’s all I’ve got for ya today! My intergalactic look most likely inspired by the “Storm Area 51” event on Facebook that everyone keeps talking about! Stay tuned for Friday when I’ll be back on the blog sharing my personal experience with a topic that is still a little taboo: CBD and how it’s used in my daily routine!
Until next time!
