A Day Trip To Savannah

Hi, friends! It’s been a minute since I’ve written on the blog, and honestly — I’ve missed it so much! The past month has been really hectic in terms of my career. I kind of felt a little lost for a while, but I’m feeling rejuvenated after returning from my vacation! This was my first real vacation in two years and needless to say — it was NECESSARY!

Anyways, I kicked off my trip in Savannah, Georgia. I’ve been there once before, but it’s just one of those picturesque cities that I could never get tired of. I had a little less than 24 hours in the city, so I wanted to share my favorite places to stay, eat and shop!

Historic Savannah

Let’s get started!

Where to Stay

The Hyatt Regency. This hotel is really modern and super chic. It’s right near River Street, too! Pretty close proximity to all the fun things to do in Savannah. I would highly recommend!

What to Do

I mean, Savannah is a historical city, so there’s always something to do! Since I didn’t have much time to begin with, I definitely consolidated my adventures into just a few things.

Shopping on River Street: This never gets old. Yes, there are a lot of typical touristy spots to shop, but there are also tons of charming little shops! One of my favorites was River Street Sweets. Bring on the caramel apples and salt water taffy, please!

Walk thru Forsyth Park: Imagine all the magical Spanish moss and Willow trees in one location. That’s this park. I didn’t get the chance to go this time around, but I walked through it the last time I was in Savannah. It really just transports you to a serene place!

Where to Eat

Two Cracked Eggs

If you want to eat the best breakfast of your life, go here. Like, I’m not the biggest breakfast person and I loved this place. They surprisingly had a lot of gluten-free options, which was awesome. I ended up getting the Shrimp Benedict on gluten-free toast. Absolutely amazing!

Two Cracked Eggs

Note: go early. This place fills up REALLY QUICK. Plus, it’s super small inside. I ended up having to wait about 40 minutes to get in and I went at 9 a.m. Just make sure to have a little snack beforehand!

Barracuda Bob’s

I stopped here for a quick bite to eat before heading into Hilton Head. It’s a really chill place that doesn’t just serve bar food. I got the Wedge Salad and it was perfect! Light and refreshing after a day spent exploring in the blazing sun.

Well, there you have it! What I did during the few hours I was in Savannah! If you haven’t been there before, it’s definitely worth the weekend trip! The food scene is awesome and the people are all so friendly and accommodating.

Stay tuned later this week for another blog post about my trip!

Until next time!
