Fresh Favorites | Meaningful Graphic Tees

Hello + welcome to another week on Stylishly Good Vibes! I’m so excited for today’s post because I’m bringing back a concept I started while I was living in South Carolina. Fresh Favorites is a compilation of blog posts dedicated to sharing one item I’ve been obsessing over. This week, I’m chatting about meaningful graphic tees.

I used to be a graphic tee hoarder. Seriously, when Delia’s was still a thing when I was in middle school, I used to get at least two new tees every month. It was my jam. Believe it or not, I still have a couple of them!

Many of those graphic tees from way back when weren’t really meaningful — they just had cool things on them. Today when I’m searching for graphic tees, I want them to support a cause or create a conversation.

The tee I’m wearing in today’s post says “Empowered Women Empower Women.” Now that’s a tee I can stand behind! I think it’s so important to use your voice, especially in today’s political climate. Even as a writer, sometimes I trip over my words when asked about more controversial topics. But, a shirt like this speaks for itself. It’s like the introduction I need to get my thoughts flowing.

I’ve always shied away from talking politics for fear that my voice might not be seen as valid. It really wasn’t until I started to watch and read the news everyday that I began to feel more open about voicing my opinion. Everyone has a level of comfort they feel in complicated situations. For me, being as educated as I can be makes me feel confident.

Plus, having this platform and using it to share parts of my life has made me realize how important it is to speak up. I guess this is me telling all of you that I plan to start writing a lot of new content for the blog — content that’s not always about fashion!

If you’re afraid to voice your thoughts on certain topics, that’s okay! Sometimes all you need is a really empowering graphic tee to help get your confidence juices flowing.

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” — Dr Martin Luther King Jr.
