Not Another ‘Concert Style’ Post

I decided to switch up my initial idea for this post — changing it from concert style inspiration, to how music has impacted my life over the years.

Have you ever loved a band so much you would do anything to see them live? That’s been Mumford & Sons for me. I’d been daydreaming about seeing them live since the first time I heard “Little Lion Man.” That was nine years ago. Wow, makes me feel kind of old!

Not only are they talented instrumentally, but Mumford & Sons write songs unlike any other band I’ve listened to. I’ve always found my own hidden meaning in each of their songs. I could name my faves on every single album. I guess that’s why I’ve had such an affinity for their music. It’s like the album of my life — with a song for just about everything.

I remember driving to my guitar lessons when I was seventeen, blasting Mumford’s “Babel” album loud enough for all to hear. I low-key used to think I would be a rockstar one day, but sometimes dreams change! Despite that, my love for Mumford & Sons’ jams has stayed the same. They’ve gotten me through many of life’s ups and downs.

As I’ve gotten older, I still find myself listening to those early Mumford albums, reminiscing about how I was feeling the very first time I heard a song. Life isn’t always rainbows and unicorns, as much as I wish it was. But, whenever I’m having a stressful day, I get in my car, crank up Mumford and drive.

There’s no better way to start or end the day than with good vibes and great music from none other than Mumford & Sons.

Let’s talk about concert style for a quick second!

For me, concert style isn’t necessarily something I put hours of thought into. To be honest, I’m going to a concert to listen to music, not to fuss around with an annoying outfit. Of course, I’m going to wear something that reflects my personal style, but I’m also not going to lose sleep over what to wear.

I literally put this outfit on ten minutes before I left for the concert. My all-time favorite high-rise black jeans from Urban Outfitters that I wear multiple times of the week (no shame), this multi-striped blouse and faux blue suede jacket from H&M.

Layers? Check. Colors? Check. Comfort? CHECK!

Well, that’s all I have for ya today! I hope that you get to go to one of your dream concerts this year! ALSO! If you haven’t listened to Mumford & Sons’ newest album, please do! 🙂

My favorite jams are “42,” “Woman,” “Rose of Sharon,” and “Delta.”

Until next time!
