How To Style An Aviator Jacket

Hello and Happy Friday! I can’t believe it’s already the end of another week! I’m hoping to get better about planning out blog posts and social media stuff so that I can always have fresh and fun content for you all! I’m still trying to get organized with everything, but I promise I will do my best to get back on the blog three days a week!

I don’t know about the weather in other parts of the country, but in Ohio, the weather is totally wack. One day it’s a crisp 60 degrees, and the next it’s a humid 80 degrees. What is even happening! Global warmingmaybe … that’s a conversation for another day! Anyways, despite the fact that the weather is about as indecisive as I am, I decided to go ahead and buy a cold-weather jacket now.

img_9765img_9763After a month or so of looking around on a bunch of different websites, I finally stumbled upon this one on Urban Outfitters! Their jackets are always my favorite, but they never usually release them until the last few weeks of September, which was perfect timing!

I’ve always wanted an oversized aviator jacket. It’s the one style I’ve dreamed about having in my closet, but never found until now. I was a tad bit on the fence about this jacket when I ordered it because I wasn’t entirely sure how the fit was going to be.

I read the reviews, and decided I was going to go for it in the size that I usually tend to buy in jackets. It ended up fitting perfectly and I couldn’t be happier about it! The jacket is more oversized, but it doesn’t swallow me up. The rust color of the jacket is something that I’ve never worn before, so it’s the perfect trend piece to add to my fall wardrobe.

Honestly, I could wear this jacket with just about anything, which is why I’m so excited about it. When I got it in the mail, I was walking around outside in it … in 75 degree weather! This jacket could be worn with jeans, a looser pant, like these floral ones, or even a midi dress. The opportunities are endless!!! Also, if you’re not a fan of the rust color, Urban Outfitters has this same jacket in black and lilac!

Although I’m well aware that I’m still going to need to wear my knee-length parka when Cleveland’s winter starts, I’m excited to see how I end up styling this jacket for fall.  I don’t even want to think about winter — because it’s not even Halloween yet! Can we all just slow our roll for a minute and soak up the present?!

Well, that’s all I’ve got for ya today. A short and sweet post about my new favorite jacket! Looking for a new jacket to add to your wardrobe this fall? Tell me about it in the comments below!

Until next time!

I would wear it with a simple sheath dress, jeans, patterned pants, sweaters – anything! I would definitely keep it simple on the top since the jacket is so bold! 🙂
