How I Get Excited For Mondays

Hellooooo and happy Monday, friends! I hope that this blog post finds you well and ready to take on another week! This summer is seriously flying by and I haven’t even been to the beach once! Mind you, I live at the beach … I can just hear people being like WHAT, HOW, WHY, WHAT!?

Here’s the thing, I love going to the beach for vacation — I mean, who doesn’t!? But, I’ve come to realize that living at the beach year round is honestly kind of boring HAHAHA. But hey, that’s just my personal opinion! Anyways, I thought that today I would share a blog post about how I get excited for Mondays.

Of course there are Sundays where I wish I had one more day to chill out because I usually work six out of the seven days of the week. However, I always try to do as many enjoyable things as I can on Sundays so that I’m ready for the week ahead!

Having a full time job has definitely taken a lot of getting used to, which means I’ve kind of had to figure out my schedule as I go. Generally I either work on Saturdays or Sundays at my part time job, so whichever day I happen to have off is the day that I treat as my Sunday.

This is the day that I let myself sleep in for as long as I can. I’m such a night owl, but I’m genuinely trying to become a better morning person! But ya know, sometimes you start binge watching “The Office” until you realize it’s 1 a.m. and you’re still awake.

I know it may sound dumb, but one of my favorite ways to get excited for the week is by doing a sheet mask. It sounds so simple, but it’s something I look forward to every Sunday morning! I use a charcoal sheet mask, which I mentioned in this blog post. I love it because it’s detoxifying and makes me feel like I’m starting each week with fresh and clean skin.

The weekend is always my time for taking pictures for the blog, too. Sometimes my plans go off without a hitch, and other times, like this week, I had to improvise with taking pictures. Instead of taking pictures at one of my favorite places, I had to take them somewhere else. I went all the way to this one location only to realize they were having a wedding, and I wasn’t trying to be a crasher, so I left!

Once I finish taking my blog pictures, the rest of the day is used for editing photos, writing blog posts and catching up on any emails/website stuff/blog promotions from the week prior. It’s definitely a lot of work, but I love having a day that is solely dedicated to doing it! Truthfully, I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have a blog, like there’s so much free time in the day that I don’t even know what people do when they don’t have a hobby!

My fave way to end the weekend is by working on some kind of DIY. At the moment I’ve been drawing and painting some things that I really want to frame, so it’s been nice to have a few spare moments to finish those and start on new projects.

So, how do I get excited for Mondays, you ask? By doing a variety of things that I love on the weekend! Mondays are always a reality check, but they don’t have to be something we dread! When you start off your week with a clear mindset, it makes getting back into the routine of the week so much easier.

Use your weekends to have fun and go on adventures instead of worrying about the week ahead!

Of course there are a lot of other factors that go into our feelings about Mondays, but I challenge us all to walk into Mondays with the same sass that we do on Fridays! I bet we’ll even manage to get more stuff done because of it!

What are some of your favorite ways to get excited for Monday?

Let me know in the comments below!

Well, that’s all I have for ya today! I’ll be back on the blog on Friday with a fun blog post about my favorite hairstyles for summer, so stay tuned! I hope you all have a super awesome start to your week! 🙂

Talk soon, friends!

Until next time,
