How To Rock A Bold Cardigan

Hello, hello! I hope you’re all having a super great Monday so far! The past week has been a whirlwind to say the least. I’m not quite ready to share what I’ve been up to, but needless to say you will all definitely be hearing about it soon! 🙂

If you’ve been reading my past couple blog posts, then you’ll probably remember that I kept talking about this one sweater that I’m obsessed with. I shared it once on Instagram, but the picture didn’t do it justice! So, here it is! Was it worth the wait? I think YES.

I like to say that this sweater is vintage Anthropologie, because technically speaking, it is! This sweater is around six years old, if I’m not mistaken. I vividly remember wearing it on my first day of my senior year of high school. I even remember wearing it on a date to one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Cleveland, Sara’s Place.

It’s one of those pieces in my closet that holds so many memories.

I knew that I wanted to wear it for this week’s blog post, but I needed the outfit to really pop. I was going through my closet and dresser of clothes for about a half hour trying to find what I wanted to wear it with. After a lot of deliberation, I decided on this floral print halter dress! I actually wore this dress for my college graduation, so it’s another one that holds a lot of memories.

I wasn’t sure about the combination at first, but I knew that I at least needed to give it a chance to see how it looked. Let’s just say I was blown away with how it came out! I know it’s really in-your-face and bold, but I kind of love it! I would have never thought to pair the items together had I not wanted to include the sweater in one of this week’s blog posts. Also, peep the braided crown — my go-to hairstyle when my hair is frizzy.

I’ll say that the lime green definitely makes it a little difficult to find things that I like to wear it with, but I’m always up for a challenge!

I know from personal experience that wearing patterns can be super intimidating, especially if it’s not something that you do often. Back in the early days of my style evolution, I would have never worn this outfit. Truthfully, I don’t think I would have had the confidence to wear it.

But like anything, confidence comes when you start to believe in yourself and what you’re putting out into the universe.

As I’ve mentioned numerous times on the blog, fashion has always played a huge part in my life. I find so much happiness in not only finding cool things to wear, but inspiring other people to find their personal style and what makes them feel confident!

Well, that’s all I have for you today! If you ever have any questions about playing with different patterns, definitely send me an email or comment below! I would be more than happy to help! 🙂

Until next time,

Alicia <3
