My Summer Essentials

Hey, friends! Happy Friday! I hope that you all had an awesome Fourth of July! I spent the day relaxing by the pool and celebrating with some new friends! I hope your celebration was lots of fun, too!

For today’s blog post, I wanted to share some products that I’ve been relying on this summer. I’ve definitely had to change up my skincare and hair care routines since moving down South, and these products have helped immensely.

Let’s get started!

Headband + Cologne + Heat Protect Serum

Headband:

I just recently bought this when I was at Anthropologie and I love it! It’s perfect to wear when I’m washing my face, putting on my makeup, or just walking around outside. It’s super, super soft and it isn’t too tight on my head. I have that problem pretty frequently with headbands LOL, especially ones that I wear for extended periods of time. I highly recommend this one if you’re looking for a new headband.

Atelier Cologne:

Okay, quick story. When I was in Paris last spring, I went to one of the flagship stores for this perfume company, Atelier Cologne. We got to learn how their perfumes are made and then we all got to take a sample home! Well, I finished my sample of Clémentine California within a week of getting back to Ohio. I desperately wanted to buy the full size, but it was definitely a pricey investment. So, it took me until this summer, once I ran out of my other perfume, to buy this one. I couldn’t be happier now that I’ve got it!

Heat Protect Serum:

This stuff has been my saving grace when it comes to frizzy hair. Anyone who has gone down South for vacation during the summer knows that your hair will never look the way it did once you venture outside. The humidity is horrible! I’ve tried a bunch of different products to tame my mane, but truthfully this oil has been the best I’ve tried. It helps so much with my frizzy flyaways, not to mention it keeps my curls looking healthy and shiny.

Natural Exfoliator + Collagen Face Mask

Rice Bran Exfoliator:

I have absolutely loved this product since I discovered it on Peach & Lily’s website. It’s a natural exfoliator, which is awesome for the environment and my skin. This product is made from rice bran, so it’s really gentle. I use this every morning to get rid of any gunk that built up on my face while I slept. I definitely recommend this to anyone who has sensitive skin and wants to incorporate an exfoliator into their routine.

Super Collagen Mask:

This mask is my go-to whenever my skin is looking and feeling dull. I love to put it on and read a chapter in a book while it dries. It’s one of those masks that you could leave on for anywhere from 5-30 minutes. What I love most about it is that it doesn’t dry my skin out and I think it helps to balance my pH levels, too. Sunscreen + Aqua Glow Moisturizer

Sunscreen:

I wear sunscreen every single day. I don’t care if it’s cloudy or raining because I will still have it on. I never realized how many people don’t wear sunscreen until I moved. It honestly really surprised me that most people don’t even think to wear it, or don’t wear it because it makes them breakout. I get it — but that’s not a good excuse! If there is one product that could change the course of your skin’s health during your lifetime, IT’S SUNSCREEN! This one is really lightweight and doesn’t cause me to breakout. It’s a Korean brand that I found on Peach & Lily. I highly recommend this product to anyone who breaks out because of sunscreen!

Aqua Glow:

This gel moisturizer is the last step in my skincare routine each morning before I put my makeup on. It leaves my skin with a natural glow that I’ve honestly never seen before. I think that it has made my skin look so much healthier and life-like, too, if that makes sense. It’s surprisingly more moisturizing than you would think from a gel-based product. I definitely double-up on a thicker moisturizer at night, but this one is awesome for daytime wear.

Well, that’s all I’ve got for ya today! Enjoy your weekend, and don’t forget to put on some sunscreen, friends!

Until next time!
