Hometown Spotlight | Revival Body Care

Helloooo, awesome people! I hope that your Wednesday is off to a great start and that you’re enjoying your week thus far! I’m super excited for today’s post because it kicks off a new series that I’ll be doing each month called Hometown Spotlight. I’ve been developing this idea for about three months now, so I’m pumped to officially begin!

A little background on this new series. If you don’t know, I’m from Cleveland, and I have so much pride for my hometown. Because there are so many awesome small business owners making beautiful things in Cleveland, I thought to myself, “Why not use my platform to shed a light on the amazing things that other people are doing?”

So, let’s begin this month’s Hometown Spotlight!

Revival Body Care is a company that I came across last summer when I was visiting the Cleveland Flea. If you haven’t been to the Flea, seriously go! You wouldn’t believe how incredible it is and all the good vibes that you feel while you’re there. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced!

Anyways, since that first time I visited Revival Body Care to pick up their Goddess Clay Mask – Detox, I knew that it was a company I was going to stick with for the long haul. Revival Body Care is an all natural, organic, fair trade and 100% vegan skincare and body care company, selling everything from face masks and body scrubs, to serums and sea salt wave spray.

As I’ve mentioned before, I have troublesome skin — something we’ve probably all dealt with at some point in our lives! Recently, I’ve been looking for skincare products that not only give my skin a natural glow, but help prevent the premature aging process, which brings me to these serums!

While reading an article in Elle magazine two months ago, I found out that of all skincare products that matter in your routine, serums are the most important. You could use as many cleansers and moisturizers as you please, but if you’re looking to see a difference in the quality of your skin, it’s time to use a serum!

When I started to look for a serum to suit my skin, I knew immediately that if a product was that important to my skin’s integrity, it needed to be all-natural and organic. I wanted to be sure that I knew exactly what I was putting on my face! After a couple weeks of looking and reading reviews, I happened to see these serums in a post on Revival Body Care’s Instagram. Perfect timing!

So, I grabbed my computer and ordered both Goddess Facial Serums. I’ve waited to write this blog post because I wanted to use the serums for at least a month to determine how I felt about them. Let me tell you … I’ve seen seriously dramatic results in my skin since I started using both on a daily basis! My skin is so much brighter, I wake up with a natural glow and my skin looks and feels healthier.

Each morning, I finish my skincare routine with the AWAKEN serum, massaging it into my face in an upward motion. I also use this awesome facial massager that I highly recommend to anyone who’s over the jade facial roller trend! At night, I do the same with the DREAM serum. I also want to point out that I can actually pronounce all of the ingredients in these serums.

Seriously though, have you ever looked at the ingredients in your most-used beauty products and thought to yourself, “I can’t even pronounce that?” SAME!

I’m definitely moving more toward an all-natural skincare routine, and truthfully I’ve noticed a difference simply by adding a few key items into my routine, like these serums by Revival Body Care.

Well, there you have it, my first ever Hometown Spotlight on Revival Body Care! Definitely check them out if you’re any bit interested in skincare or all-natural products!

I’ll be back on the blog on Friday with another new post for ya!

Until next time!

Alicia ❤
