My Daily Makeup Routine

Happy Wednesday! I hope that everyone’s day has been filled with positivity and good vibes! Today’s blog post is about something that I love: makeup! I wanted to take today’s post to share my favorite products that I use every morning to get ready. As always, feel free to comment below with any questions that you may have about the products.

Let’s get started!

Step 1: Apply Liquid Foundation

Product: Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation

I just recently started using this product, and I absolutely love it so far! It’s really lightweight, so your skin has some room to breathe. It’s a bit on the expensive side of liquid foundations, but you don’t need to use more than a dime-sized amount for full coverage. Trust me — a little bit goes a really long way with this stuff! Some use a blending tool to apply their liquid foundation, but I just use my hands. I would definitely stop by your local Ulta or Sephora to test the different shades out to see which works best for you.

Step 2: Lightly Dust the Face with Powder Foundation

Product: Bare Minerals Matte Foundation

I’ve been using this foundation since I was 15 years old, so I guess you could say I’m in for the long haul! I absolutely love it and I’ve never had any problems or complaints about it. I use a large Kabuki brush to dust a little bit of this powder overtop my liquid foundation. It makes my skin look a lot smoother and it provides additional coverage where I need it.

Step 3: Buff Light Bronzer onto Key Areas of the Face

Product: Invisible Bronze Powder Bronzer in Fair to Light

This bronzer is amazing, and it’s actually the first bronzer that I’ve ever used. I never used bronzer until last spring, and I decided on this one since I was already a fan of Bare Minerals’ products. Using a blush brush, I blend this bronzer into the hollows of my cheeks, along my jawline, near my hairline and down my nose. Everyone has areas of the face where they apply their bronzer, so use your best judgment based on your skin and where the sun would hit! I watched a ton of YouTube videos to figure this out, so if you’re confused on where to put it, you’re not alone!

Step 4: Apply Blush to the Apples of the Cheeks

Product: Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm in Amp’d Up Apple

I just started using the Chubby Stick and I’m forever on board with cream blushes. This product is so easy to apply. I put this on the apples of my cheeks, so just above where my bronzer is for reference. I use a liquid foundation brush to blend it in because I think it works better than using my fingers. This shade of pink adds the perfect pop of healthy color to my face.

Step 5: Time to Fill In Those Brows

Product: Dipbrow Pomade

I’ve been filling in my brows for about two years now and let me tell you — this product is life changing! Anastasia Beverly Hills also has a Brow Wiz Pencil that is essentially the same product as the pomade. I would recommend the pencil if you’re a little unsteady with your hand. The pomade lasts for almost six months, so it’s a worthwhile investment for me! I use an angled eyebrow brush to apply this. I brush my eyebrows all the way up first, then draw along the natural line of my brows. Then, I brush my eyebrows all the way down and draw along the natural line at the top of my brows. Finish off by filling in any leftover spots, brushing out the pomade and wah-la!

Well, there you have it! My daily makeup routine and products! I would’ve included my mascara and eyeshadow palette, but that’ll just have to wait for another blog post! 🙂

Have an awesome rest of the week, friends!

Until next time,

Alicia <3
