Happy Friday, friends!
I’m back on the blog today to share my Top Picks for the month! I usually stick to beauty or skincare items for my Top Picks, but this month I decided to change it up and do a mixed bag of things I’ve been loving!
As always, if you have any questions about the products mentioned, please comment below!
Let’s get started!
1. Silk Scrunchies
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always loved scrunchies! I personally hate the feeling of a tight hair tie, and scrunchies are my ideal alternative. I wear these to bed every single night and I honestly think they are the reason why my second-day hair is so manageable.
You’ve probably all heard the hype surrounding silk pillowcases, and trust me I love the idea of buying one, too. But let’s be real, they’re a little bit pricey! I would much rather spend my money on something else, which is why I opted for these silk scrunchies instead.
For reference, there are a variety of perks to using silk-based products to keep your hair healthy. Whether you choose to invest in a silk pillowcase or opt for scrunchies like I did, it’s important to weight the pros/cons of each for your lifestyle! Silk has been shown to make wavy or curly hair less frizzy, it can prevent breakage, reduce tangles and prevent the dreaded headache hair.

Silk Scrunchies from Velvet Rope Designs
Silk Brocade Scrunchie from Free People
2. Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar
I’ve officially jumped on the apple cider vinegar bandwagon! Since switching to a gluten-free diet seven months ago, I’ve been looking for different supplements that could be beneficial to my overall health. This brings me to the topic of drinking apple cider vinegar.
I know it probably sounds totally wretched, but it’s really not as gross as it may seem! I think it’s sort of similar to how Kombucha tastes, minus the flavor. Each morning, I drink one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water with a little dash of sugar to balance the acidity. Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar is raw and unfiltered, meaning you aren’t going to get any closer to true ACV than this.
There are several proven health benefits to apple cider vinegar, including that it helps lower blood sugar levels and helps lower your risk of of high cholesterol and heart disease. This is definitely one of the more random supplemental health choices I’ve made, but hey — I’m all for trying new things!

3. Glossier’s Solution
All I can say about this new Glossier product is YAS, YAS and YAS! I’m absolutely obsessed with it. This face exfoliator has made such a difference for me and I’ve only been using it for about three weeks! It definitely lives up to the hype, and I’ll be using this for the rest of forever, literally. It’s also the reason why I’m officially hooked on Glossier!
Unlike most face exfoliators that you may feel are harsh on the skin, this product is the complete opposite! Instead of being super rough on skin that may already be irritated, Glossier’s Solution gently sweeps away any gunk on the surface of your skin. It also seeps into the epidermis to give it a healthy glow! How awesome!? I love this product, and if you’re interested in trying it, let me know in the comments below!

4. “The Sun and Her Flowers” by Rupi Kaur
If you’ve read Rupi Kaur’s, “Milk and Honey,” then you must read this book! I patiently awaited the arrival of it at my local Target and bought it the day it came out. I haven’t even finished it yet, purely because I think it’s one of those books that is meant to be read when you need it, if that makes sense! It’s not something you rush through reading.
The book is broken up into parts, including “falling,” “rooting” and “blooming.” All sections contain beautiful poems that can resonate with anyone. Rupi Kaur has an incredible talent of creating magic with the words that she writes. I’m a huge book-lover, and this book, as well as, “Milk and Honey,” will always be displayed on my coffee table.

5. May Book by May Designs
I became obsessed with bullet journals after one of my friends explained the concept of them to me last spring! Shortly thereafter, I started looking for the right one that suited my style, which leads me into to May Designs. It’s this awesome company where you can buy customized notebooks, agendas, tumblers and stationary!
Everything that they offer comes in adorable patterns and you have the option to add a monogram or your name, like I did. I purchased the large version of the May Book because I wanted to make sure that once I started doodling in it, I had room to write other things. I purchased this one in July, and I use it as a weekly agenda. More than half of the pages are still left, which I’m super pumped about. I just think it’s an awesome way to really make a planner your own, instead of buying one right off the shelf.

Well, that is all I’ve got for you today! I hope that you all have a magical weekend full of great vibes! I’ll be back on the blog on Monday with some new content for ya, so stay tuned!
