As always, all of these products are suggestions, and you should only try things that you feel comfortable trying. It’s all about figuring out what sorts of things work for you, and I hope that by reading my reviews, you can gather a little insight on what sorts of products you would also enjoy using!

If you have any questions about any of the products, feel free to comment below or contact me via email!

Onward!

1. Zara Red Vanilla Eau de Toilette – $19

This is my first Top Picks where I’ve featured a fragrance, and I think this is an awesome one to begin with. It’s a very warm and alluring scent, with a hint of vanilla and amber. It’s the one that I always grab for a night out!

I like to have a variety of fragrances to choose from because I think that some days warrant wearing a different scent, which is exactly why I love having this one in my collection! Zara has tons of other scent combinations among their fragrances, so you’ll have to check them out. Also, the scent of this one doesn’t wear off after two hours like most fragrances do. It’s lasted me an entire day of wear!

2. The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash – $14

I’ve been using this brand ever since it was recommended to me by a friend of mine! I’d read about the benefits of using tea tree oil on the face, but I had yet to find a cleanser that I liked — until this one.

For one, the formula lasts FOREVER since you really only need to use a dime-sized amount to achieve a clean face. I use this face wash in the evening, as a way to get all of the makeup gunk off of my face. It has this really fresh, almost minty, cleansing feeling to it that will leave your skin feeling and looking super clean!

As I’ve previously mentioned, I have problematic skin sometimes, but this face wash has seriously helped keep my breakouts at bay! The Body Shop also offers myriad other products in this particular Tea Tree line, so there are other options to choose from if this particular face wash doesn’t suit your fancy.

3. Mizon Water Volume EX First Essence – $19

I’ve been using this product for two years now and I must say that I absolutely love it and have noticed a significant difference in the health of my skin. To start off, this is from the website Peach & Lily, which I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts.

An essence is a step in a Korean skincare regimen that prepares the skin to absorb all of the good products you put on after it.

Basically how an essence works is after washing the face and toning the skin, apply it before putting any moisturizer or serum on. To explain what the essence does on the atomic level would take too long, but long story short, it creates an imaginary film across your skin that prevents any moisture from escaping, and only allows moisture to be absorbed in. I pour a dime-sized amount of this stuff into my hands and pat it all over my face. From there, I follow up with my moisturizer.

Before I started using this, I used to have issues with dry, flaky skin, on my chin especially. Since I started using it, I haven’t had any of that, even in the coldest days of winter!

I chose this particular essence from Peach & Lily’s array of essences because it was recommended to me in my free skincare consultation that they offer by email. This is a super cool service where you can send an email to one of Peach & Lily’s trained estheticians, mapping out any problems you have with your skin.

From there, the skin experts will devise an entire skincare regimen of products for you so you’re not shopping blindly! So, if you’re interested in learning more about Korean skincare routines, definitely click here to learn more!

4. Mario Badescu’s Super Collagen Mask – $18

This has been a favorite face mask of mine for the past three years now! I was introduced to it by my coworkers at Anthropologie, and since then it has always been a mask that I have on hand.

What I love about this mask is how it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, and it leaves it feeling firm and refreshed with each use. The purpose of this mask is to hydrate the skin and prevent signs of aging, like fine lines and wrinkles.

Like I’ve said, I’m all about prevention and starting to use anti-aging products when you’re in your 20’s, and the fact this this mask lasts for upwards of three months and it’s affordable makes all the difference to me! I usually leave this mask on for around 10-20 minutes, then follow up with my normal skincare routine. I tend to use this mask about 3-4 times a week because of how gentle it is.

5. Shea Moisture’s Sacha Inchi Oil Omega 3-6-9 Rescue & Repair – $11

I’ve been searching for an affordable heat protectant spray for a while now, and when I stumbled upon this one I knew I had to give it a try. I’ve always trusted the products that Shea Moisture comes out with because they do what they’re intended to do, which is amazing.

I love that all of their products are all-natural and organic, because when it comes to my hair, I don’t use just any product on it! Because this is a hair oil, less is definitely more. I apply a tiny, raisin-sized amount of the oil to my hands to warm it up, and then apply it to my hair from midway down the strand, to my ends.

What I like about this product is that it doesn’t just protect my hair from future damage, but it also repairs any damage my hair endured before I started using this product. Seriously love, love, love it!

Well, that’s all I’ve got for ya! I’ve got an exciting blog post coming up this week where I’ll be sharing some things about myself in honor of my birthday, so stay tuned for that!

Until next time, thanks a bunch for reading! You guys are all amazing!

KEEP SPREADIN’ THOSE GOOD VIBES!
