I’m baaaack! I’m sorry for the delay in posting on here and social media. I was in the process of moving down to South Carolina for a new job, so it’s been a little hectic! But, I’m so excited to be here and to start this new beginning in a brand new place!

Anyways, with the weather finally cooling down, my favorite time of the year has officially commenced: Dr. Martens season!

I’ve been a huge fan of the brand for the past five years, and I have loved every single pair that I’ve owned. Not to mention, I’ve never even had to throw out a pair because they last so long!

I think that it’s really important to make a connection to brands that you love. When I bought my first pair of Dr. Martens, I knew from the moment I put them on that I was going to love this brand for years to come. The style of boot is definitely bulkier, which isn’t everyone’s style, but you know me — I’m all about making a statement!

One of my favorite outfits to wear Dr. Martens with has to be a midi skirt. It’s such an unexpected combination and it definitely makes people do a double take, like “She’s wearing that?!

YOU BET I AM!

This is one of my all-time favorite skirts that I own because it can be paired with virtually anything in my closet. I also think that this length plays well with the height of my Dr. Martens.

I’ve found that when I’ve worn my Dr. Martens with shorter skirts or dresses, the look is a little bit too edgy for my personal style. But with a midi skirt, everything just makes sense! Dramatic, I know, but the midi skirt is back and I couldn’t be happier about it!

I chose to feature this chambray shirt within this post as well because of how it played off of the colors within the boots. I’ve had this chambray shirt for two years now and I feel as if I’m still trying to break it in.

Everyone’s had that one shirt that they absolutely love and wear all the time because of how worn in it is. Well, for me that was how my first chambray shirt was before I had to buy this one. That shirt was my absolute favorite. That is, until I busted out of it and had a total Frankenstein rip up the back of it. Oops!

Well, now that I have this new one, I’m still trying to get it to the point of being as comfortable as my other one. Until then, I’m just going to have to keep wearing it and hoping for the best!

The purpose of this blog post was definitely to shed some light on Dr. Marten’s and how much I love them. They’re super durable and I always admire how the patterns and styles are so bold.

If you’re considering buying a pair to incorporate into your wardrobe, you won’t be disappointed! The price that you pay is 100% worth it, in my opinion, for the impeccable quality and resilience of the boots you’ll receive.
