It seems so crazy to be saying “Happy Fall,” being as this is the first time in four years that I’ve been in Cleveland for the autumn equinox. While I was in college, I failed to notice how beautiful this time of year truly is. Despite the fact that it’s a crispy 90 degrees outside today, I’m still relishing in the fact that fall weather will be coming soon!

This morning I got to spend some time at one of my favorite places to go in the fall: Patterson’s Fruit Farm. I remember taking field trips there when I was a kid, and it was always such a treat, which is why it holds a close place in my heart!

Needless to say, I wasn’t really dressed for the extremely hot weather today, but I couldn’t pass up on the fresh apples, bright orange pumpkins and crunchy kettle corn!

I know that some of you reading this have been patiently awaiting the big announcement that I’d mentioned on my Instagram yesterday. Well, I won’t make you wait any longer!

But first (sorry!), I wanted to make sure that I repped my favorite city for this blog post with this Cleveland shirt by a local CLE artist Chris Dieghan. On a side note, he’s super talented and makes a ton of totally awesome stuff, so check out his work here!

OK, back on track … Does anyone have any guesses where I’ll be moving?! Is there anyone out there?!

OK, OK, I’ll stop putting it off and just tell you guys!

I’m saying hello to sunnier days and sandy beaches as I make the move to South Carolina!

I’m so excited for this new beginning filled with amazing experiences in an awesome new place!

Well, now that the cat is out of the bag … I’m just going to get back to the blog post now!

So, as I was saying, Patterson’s Fruit Farm is seriously one of my favorite places in the world, and I couldn’t leave Cleveland without paying a visit!

To me, it’s just one of those places that automatically gets you into the fall spirit! Since leaving Patterson’s this morning, I’ve been daydreaming about a good ol’ turkey dinner and pumpkin pie, but I don’t want to rush into fall quite yet!

There’s just something special about fall in the Midwest that I don’t think can even compare with anywhere else. I may be biased as someone born and raised in Ohio, but still — just look at how glorious everything is!

With so much of fall still ahead of us, I think everyone should make a to-do list of fall activities that they want to do this season. Whether that be going apple picking, taking a haunted hay ride, or even going through a corn maze — the options are endless!

Although corn mazes freak me out a little bit because of all the crazy alien movies I’ve seen that take place in a cornfield, I adventured into the unknown of the corn maze at Patterson’s and it was actually fun!

Well, that’s all that I’ve got for ya today!

I hope that you enjoy the first day of fall as much as I have!
