Hello there, lovely people!
I’m back again with another post for you this week! I’ve got a lot of exciting things happening in the coming weeks that I want to share with you, but first I want to tell you about my weekend!
On Friday, I went to this little carnival that I’ve gone to for as long as I can remember. It’s nothing special, but it’s just one of those places that holds a place in my heart, no matter my age. Not to mention, the food is absolutely amazing! Just look at this funnel cake!
Aside from the food, my favorite part of the carnival this year was riding on the Ferris Wheel. Now, anyone who knows me knows that I have a pretty big fear of heights, so why did I ride a ferris wheel, you may ask? Well, I’ve been trying to do at least one thing a week that helps me conquer my fear of heights.

Anyways, getting on the Ferris Wheel was totally fine, until we got stuck up at the top two separate times and I about peed myself out of fear (TMI, but true). But! Aside from the fact that I was pretty scared the majority of the time, I still did it and I’m so glad that I did! This particular instance is something that I think a lot of people can apply to their own lives.
Whether it’s riding on a Ferris Wheel like me, or surfing a huge wave, I challenge you to take something that you fear and try to overcome it! I don’t know if my fear of heights will ever go away, but I will put in a good effort to try!
Something else that I wanted to focus on in this post is the idea of embracing YOLO. Yes, YOLO. Obviously this was a trend back when Drake was rapping about it, but it kind of fell to the wayside after that. Well, although it isn’t trendy anymore, I still say YOLO on the daily. Ask any of my friends and they’ll tell you that 90% of the advice I dish out has something to do with YOLO.
I really think that embracing the idea of YOLO will help you live your life to the fullest with no regrets. It’s so easy to get caught up in the opinions of other people, and in thinking that timing is a determining factor in every single thing that you do in life. You only live one life, and if you sit back and wait for things to happen for you, instead of hustling to MAKE them happen for you, you might miss something amazing.
I’ve embraced the idea of YOLO, especially within the past year, and I’ve honestly seen myself grow more than I could have ever imagined. Call me cheesy, but I would only be telling you this if I was completely positive that it makes a difference! There are so many things in life that we don’t have control over, but that doesn’t mean that we should stop having fun or cease to take chances!
I am 100% dreamer, and I’ve always known that. But, I think what’s important to distinguish about dreams is that you can dream anything, but if you don’t actually make a move to change or achieve that dream (aka YOLO!!!), you’ll remain in a time vortex.
So, live a little, shout YOLO from the mountaintops! Embrace life and everything it has to offer!
A little surprise that I want to share with all of you is that I will be going on a trip to Italy soon!!!
Take a cue from me: If you want to go on a trip somewhere, just do it!
