Welcome back!
I hope that everyone has been enjoying the unofficial beginning of summer!
This week’s post is all about these awesome tasseled boyfriend jeans! The tassels are such an unexpected addition to an otherwise generic pair of boyfriend jeans. Not to mention, I hadn’t even planned on buying this pair in the first place. More on that later!
I wanted to give an update on post-grad life so far! Although I haven’t had any formal job offers yet, I’m content. I love being able to do my own thing and figure out what I want to actually do with my career. On that note, I want to offer my advice to any rising seniors in college or anyone who is out there looking for a job.
Don’t stress about having it all figured out! Everything will work out the way it’s supposed to — it always does. I literally never have anything figured out, but because of that fact, I have so much more time to focus on the things that I love doing!
Enjoy every single moment that you have to explore and do all the cool things that you’ve always told yourself you would!
Back to the topic of this blog post, if you’ve ever shopped for a pair of boyfriend jeans, you are well aware of how daunting the process can be. In comparison to any other fit of denim, the boyfriend jean is cut entirely different than the majority of the denim that we regularly wear. This can make it increasingly difficult to find the right pair for you.
I remember in 2013 when boyfriend jeans were coming back mainstream and I felt like I totally needed a pair. Well, it took me probably a year of shopping and trying on several different pairs before I found the right fit. My first pair of boyfriend jeans by BDG at Urban Outfitters is by far still my favorite pair of pants ever.
Because I found such luck with this one pair of pants, I was kind of adamant about buying another pair because of how long it took the first time around. When I decided that I was in the market for a new pair of pants, I quickly realized that the actual boyfriend-fit of jeans, which generally tends to be low rising, is not meant for me.
I found one particular pair that I immediately sold myself on the idea of, before I even tried them on. Well, long story short, they were not the right fit for me whatsoever. Then, I tried on this pair of tasseled boyfriend jeans. The awesome thing about this pair is that they are a mid-rise fit, and let me tell you — I am all about that mid rise, high-waisted denim!
My Tip for Buying Boyfriend Jeans: Be patient! Also, make sure to try a variety of brands and fits to ensure that you’re giving yourself a better understanding of the fits that are out there.
I want to focus on the shoes that I am wearing in this blog post for just a second. I have been receiving a lot of compliments and questions about where I got the sandals that I’m wearing. I did my best to try and track them down on the internet, but I don’t think they’re available anymore! My apologies!
On the bright side, if you’re in need of super comfortable shoes that are a little weird, but also super cool, you’ve got to check out your local Clarks store. I usually pay Clarks a visit every three months or so, and every time that I go, I buy amazing pairs of shoes! It’s my favorite place to shop, and I’m passing it on to all of you!
Well, that’s all I’ve got for this week! Stay tuned for more from Stylishly Good Vibes! In the meantime, don’t miss out on my latest style updates — give me a follow on social media.
